MAXX’s Story

I am a 8-year-old on a journey to be a professional outdoorsman.

Since the age of 4, I have wanted to be “one of the guys on tv – the hunting and fishing shows”. In addition to being raised in the outdoors, I saw Jimmy Houston fishing and Tom Miranda bow hunting on TV and that sparked my quest. I’m not stopping there; I am making my own tv shows and traveling the country. As I document my journey, I hope to create opportunities through outdoor company partnerships for at-risk youth to enjoy these same activities that I am fortunate to have.

Philanthropy

I know that bad things happen to some kids and it makes me sad. I help my dad with his program SCARS – Saving Children and Reviving Souls. I want to be a friend to these kids and take them hunting and fishing and show them that there can be something to be happy about.

THE IGNORED EPIDEMIC

Ask almost anyone and they would say they would speak up if they saw signs that a child was being sexually/physically abused. And no one would allow this criminal behavior to continue if they knew for sure it was going on. And yet, that is exactly what is happening in our country and the world today. Millions of children have abusive sexual/physical experiences and lack the voice to speak up for change. Our goal at SCARS is to be that voice and we won’t stop until this horrendous epidemic gets the attention it deserves.

We are advocates and
WE WILL speak up.
